Plot: The day when people were scared of vampires is long gone; now, those who turn into vampires are scared of people. In a little hamlet, Sookie Stackhouse works as a regular waiter. She's able to hear people's deepest worries. She had several romantic failures in addition to being troubled by her unique skill.
