Plot: Noah teaches at a New York City high school and appears to be a lovely husband and parent. His four children don't need him to worry about anything, and his wife is caring, so his life is simple and pleasant. During the summer, he would frequently go to Long Island to get ideas for a new novel he was working on. Upon meeting Allison, a stunning lady, he thinks as though he has discovered a "spiritual partner" who shares his temperament. Helen, Noah's wife, has been together for 17 years, starting during their time in college. When she discovered that her husband had an extramarital affair, she was deeply dissatisfied, and her attitude shifted from forgiveness to retaliation.
