Plot: Leslie Knope was an intermediate employee of Indiana Parks and Recreation with the dual goals of helping community nurse Ann Perkins turn an abandoned building site inside her town into a public park and furthering her career. Unfortunately, several issues have continually hampered a simple project, including bureaucratic red tape, self-centered neighbors, and inept authorities. Leslie works for a bureaucrat named Ron Swanson. However, he is vehemently opposed to the government of any kind, and her coworker Tom Haverford, who enjoys abusing his position for personal gain, is more likely to obstruct her efforts than to support them.
