Plot: Lucy Liu plays Dr. Joan Watson in the television series Elementary, and Jonny Lee Miller plays Sherlock Holmes, a consulting detective in contemporary New York. Sherlock is made to live with Dr. Watson, a sober buddy, by his affluent father following his fall from favor in London and rehab. Watson is a successful surgeon but lost her license three years ago. Resuming his career as a police consultant is Sherlock's unusual approach to life after rehab, and Watson grudgingly goes along. They come together as an odd team to solve crimes, aiding the NYPD in resolving the most complex cases.
