Plot: Despite his dislike of book buyers and his dislike of having customers, Bernard Black owns and operates his bookstore. The Nifty Gifty gift shop, owned and operated by Fran—likely Bernard's sole buddy in the world—is next to Bernard's shop. WithBernard hires Manny, a stress sufferer, to help with his store while his accountant is on the run. This sets off a bizarre chain of events within the store.
