Plot: Ben comes out of his coma. In an auto accident, his wife perished. He feels lost and depressed. He relocates to a new house after leaving the hospital. He meets his attractive neighbor, Charlotte. She treats him nicely. He is more at ease. However, something is not right. Everywhere he looks is his deceased wife. He feels afraid and bewildered. He has no idea what is true. He's losing his mind.

Plot: In 1935. Cold Mountain Prison in the American South. There is a mile-long green area called "Green Lane". However, its residents are all on death row, and at the other end of the green space is the electric chair used for execution. Paul Atchcombe is the warden here. He was indifferent to death. But the arrival of the mysterious John Coughley changed everything. Coughley was sentenced to death for the murders of two young girls. He seems to elicit an involuntary sense of trust. This leaves Edgecombe in deep doubt about the truth of his crimes.
