Plot: Those who have vowed to protect the law are violating it to clean up the streets of Los Angeles, a city filled with drug traffickers. Denzel Washington portrays Alonzo Harris, an experienced drug enforcement agent whose approaches to law enforcement are dubious, if not dishonest. Training Day chronicles Harris's 24-hour training session with rookie Jake Hoyt. Hoyt and the audience are faced with moral conundrums as they consider if Harris' strategy for purging narcotics from South Central Los Angeles' streets was morally correct.
