Plot: The Local tracks Noname, a mysterious man fleeing a horrific history. He works as a menial drug dealer for a group of insane veterans and is caught up in the brutal underbelly of Brooklyn. There, a wealthy visitor from out of town approaches Noname and offers him a sizable sum of money in exchange for "rescuing" his heroin-addicted daughter from his employer's drug den. Noname quickly learns that there's more to saving the girl than just making money.
