Plot: Adele's difficult family connection is partly mended while on vacation in Wales, England, but misfortune soon follows. While playing at the beach one day, Sarah, her daughter, unintentionally slipped into the sea. Adele and her husband James make unsuccessful attempts to save Sarah, and she vanishes from their life. Adele, overcome with intense sadness, then goes through a strange sequence of events and becomes persuaded that her daughter is imprisoned in the local folklore of the "black world."
