Plot: Thomas was a black physician, but Braylak, a white physician with aspirations for his career and a distinct vision, saw his medical aptitude and started imparting knowledge to him. He was gifted and picked up surgical techniques and medical theory fast. He did not reveal Thomas's role in the tetralogy of Fallot, but they overcame it together. For the thirty-four years that they have worked together, the two have kept this delicate bond going. They transcended racial barriers and collaborated to create the first cardiac surgery, making history in this field.
