Plot: Pauline, Petrova, and Posy are orphans fostered by altruistic niece Sylvia Brown after being adopted by eccentric adventurer Uncle Matthew. The plot centers on the girls' struggles to fulfill their aspirations: Pauline wants to be an actress, Petrova wants to be a pilot, and Posy looks like she is meant to be a dancer. However, once Uncle Matthew disappears, the girls struggle once again for the remaining money. Individual aspirations are often in conflict with the material, psychological, and physiological requirements of existence.
