Plot: Unidentified flying devices in the shape of twelve shells abruptly materialized in the sky above Earth. The aliens communicated with humanity through these shells, but humans were unable to decipher them. Louise (a linguist) and Ian (a physicist) were discovered by the US military. At this point, Louise finally realizes the aliens' true intentions, and with the help of the unique "weapons" they have given her, she is able to use one force to change the course of history. After multiple contacts, Louise was unable to ascertain the aliens' true purpose for visiting Earth, leading China, Russia, and the other four countries to decide to launch an attack.
