Plot: En route to compete in Chile in 1972, a Uruguayan rugby squad had an Andean accident. In an attempt to escape this bleak land of death, almost twenty survivors braved the bitter cold. Their food supplies are running low, they are at an extreme altitude, there are several avalanches, and they have a strong dread of dying after waiting in vain for rescue personnel. They debate and fight within before attempting the unthinkable—eating the corpse. The weather warmed up, and the rescue squad eventually located them almost 50 days after the incident. After all, the sixteen survivors were reunited with their families and left this pit of death.
