Plot: Henry Roth embodied the classic playboy, capable of swiftly ending relationships after they had begun. This time, while working as a veterinarian at the Hawaii Aquarium, he fell in love with Lucy as she ate alone in a restaurant. After exchanging pleasantries and giggles, they decided to meet for supper tomorrow morning. But when Henry enthusiastically welcomed Lucy the following morning, Lucy was as icy as a stranger. It turns out that the girl's memory always remained on the day before the vehicle accident, suggesting that she may have had an unusual short-term memory loss as a result of the collision. Henry developed feelings for this girl despite his being once a playboy.

Plot: Lisa was the first person Matt met at a Brookston music event. Beautiful and full of charisma, Lisa, 21, was Matt's ideal lady. Along with cooking together, they attend concerts. Matt was living life daily. They were pretty happy then, though they did fight from time to time. However, Lisa wouldn't allow Matt to drop her off at the airport when the time eventually arrived. Long departure rituals, she remarked, were not her thing. Returned to his own life, Matt wanders the streets in search of solace from Lisa's absence.
