To assist in getting the six men back to the United States, CIA executive Jack O'Donnell contacted specialist Tony Mendez. Following considerable deliberation, the CIA chose Tony's strategy, and Tony proceeded to Iran to retrieve the six guys while pretending to be filming a movie. Tony got in touch with film producer Lester and Hollywood buddy John Chambers, a makeup artist.
